Gamstop Launches 5-Year Auto-Renewal Exclusion Option

Gambling self-exlcusion scheme provider Gamstop has announced the launch of a new 5-year auto-renewal exclusion option. This news come as Gamstop reports an increase in users, and comes during a time when responsible gambling is being discussed more than ever.

According to figures released by the organization, the beginning of 2025 saw record daily registrations for Gamstop. On January 1st, 415 people signed up, followed by 413 new registrations on January 2nd. This trend continued, with 396 new signups taking place on January 6th.

Let’s look into Gamstop’s new auto-renewal extension option and discuss what it means for users of the service.

Gamstop’s New Auto-Renewal Option

Gamstop has been listening closely to what its users want and, in response, they’ve rolled out a new 5-year auto-renewal exclusion option for those who prefer long-term exclusion. What does that mean? Once you choose this option, Gamstop will automatically renew your exclusion every five years, removing the need for users to log back in and renew manually.

Why Did Gamstop Introduce The New Option?

Gamstop did some digging and discovered from an Ipsos survey that many users preferred the idea of having long-term exclusion options.

People don’t just want these options; they’re also anxious about keeping track of when their exclusion periods end. Nobody wants to be caught off guard, right? Gamstop came up with the 5-year auto-renewal  option to address this fear.

This solution means you can automatically renew your exemption every five years without doing anything. Just imagine: you have one less thing to worry about on your to-do list.

To keep users informed of these developments, Gamstop will send everyone a reminder email every 15 months. These gentle reminders will let users know when it’s time to renew, helping everyone stay on top of things.

The new feature will join other existing options on Gamstop, such as the 6-month and 1-year exemptions, giving users the freedom to choose what suits them best. It’s all about giving you peace of mind, and it also makes the Gamstop experience a bit smoother.

Fiona Palmer, CEO of Gamstop, is extremely excited about how far they’ve come since their launch in April 2018.

Fiona points out that Gamstop’s main mission is to give people the power to manage their gambling habits. They’re always listening to users and checking on how well their service is doing.

Gamstop Is Stepping Up Their Game

Gamstop’s officials have heard that users are seeking longer exclusion periods, so they’ve stepped up and responded. The new 5-year auto-renewal exclusion option is a big move that will ensure everyone can feel at ease while using their service. It’s also a way to help people who need a longer break from gambling take one without any extra steps.

Gamstop is about ensuring users have the tools to play smart and stay safe.
